NFL Foundation and Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Contribute $3M to Support Local Nonprofits

The Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program Funds Organizations Supporting Underserved Communities in the Super Bowl Host City
LAS VEGAS — Feb. 9, 2024 — The Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program aims to leave a legacy of philanthropy and positive economic impact in the communities surrounding the Super Bowl host city. In support of Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 11, the NFL Foundation and the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee are proud to contribute $3 million in grants to 117 local nonprofit organizations, all with a proven track record of supporting underserved communities in the Las Vegas area.
The $3 million in grants were made possible through joint contributions from the NFL Foundation and the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee and its partners. The NFL Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those touched by the game of football – from players at all levels to communities across the country. Now in its 50th year, the NFL Foundation has emerged as one of the leading philanthropic entities in America, contributing to NFL team communities, national and international disaster relief efforts, and societal issues.
"Through the Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program, we strive to ensure the NFL leaves a legacy of philanthropy and community impact long after the final whistle of Super Bowl LVIII," said NFL Vice President of Philanthropy and Executive Director of the NFL Foundation Alexia Gallagher. Funding through this initiative will support projects and programs to permanently improve the lives of Southern Nevadans in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion; education; health and wellness; social justice; and youth and young adults. This year's Super Bowl Legacy Program Grants were distributed over two periods through 'Gameday' and 'Pregame' grants.
Gameday Grants: $1.8 Million in Grants Awarded to 88 Nonprofits
Yesterday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the NFL Foundation, and the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee held a press conference at the Neon Museum in Las Vegas announcing the recipients of the Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program: Gameday Grants, celebrating the impressive work being done to support the local Las Vegas community.
Through this stage of the program, 88 local nonprofits will receive $1.8 million in unrestricted funding in support of their missions.

In addition, the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Charities awarded an additional $58,000 to the YMCA for their service to the Las Vegas community youth.
Pregame Grants: $1.2 Million in Grants Awarded to 29 Nonprofits
During a Super Bowl LVIII Kickoff event last December, 29 nonprofit organizations and initiatives were surprised with Super Bowl Legacy Grant Program: Pregame Grants totaling $1.2 million in funding. The NFL Foundation, Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee Charities, and four partner organizations – Bank of America, Bank of Nevada, PNC Bank, and United Way of Southern Nevada – partnered to match funds and widen the impact.
