Carrie Walton Penner has served as Owner of the Denver Broncos since 2022 and is involved in all matters related to the National Football League franchise on a team and league level.

The Board Chair of the Denver Broncos Foundation, Carrie is actively engaged with the Broncos' community impact, alumni relations, player wellness, fan experience and organizational culture efforts. In addition to her role with the Broncos, Carrie is involved with key league initiatives and serves on both the NFL Foundation and DEI committees.

Under Carrie's leadership, the Denver Broncos Foundation has more than doubled its impact annually to grantees and program partners that focus on youth health & wellness, dynamic in and out of school programming, and equitable access to career pathways. She also introduced an expanded alumni program focusing on personal and professional development, consistent communication, community impact and team-centered social activities.

Carrie is a long-time education and youth mental health advocate with an extensive background in education research, evaluation and philanthropy. She has advised many non-profit organizations on high-impact strategies to achieve positive social change.

Through Fiore Ventures, she invests in founder-led early-stage companies, non-profit organizations and policy initiatives focused on mental health access. Her work producing documentary films, including COVID Diaries NYC and Nuclear Fallout, has elevated voices often unheard in media.

Carrie is the former Chair and current member of the Walton Family Foundation board, where she leads the K-12 Education Program Committee. Additionally, she serves on the boards of The Aspen Institute and KIPP Foundation and is a member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees.

Carrie received her bachelor's degree in economics and history from Georgetown University along with two master's degrees (program evaluation and administration & policy analysis) from Stanford's Graduate School of Education.

An outdoor sports enthusiast, Carrie is an avid hiker and skier.
